Mrs. Carner (6th Science) and Mrs. Harrold(6th LA) have their students using Edmodo to help with their Layers of the Earth lesson. The students are able to communicate with their teachers and peers online to ask/answer questions, share resources, complete teacher assignments, and take quizzes.
Students in Mrs. Smith’s dance class recorded and edited video using Windows Live software. Here is a sample of one of those videos called “Ho Ho Ho” by C. Phillips and C. Cuellar.
Students were to create an animated cartoon in which characters are speaking Spanish, using current vocabulary and grammer.

Students is Ms. Sisolak’s 7th grade LA Arts class were asked to design a new book jacket for the novel, “The Outsiders”. One student took advantage of the many things MS Publisher can do and created an excellent brochure.
Mrs. Turner-Mack uses online flashcards to help her students
Students work on their foreign language acquisition skills and improve their own reading comprehension in their native language by creating podcasts of childrens literature in Spanish. Teachers and students across the district will be able to use the podcasts to improve literacy and help enrich their own classroom experiences.
